2 ways to spice up a simple button down

Hey guys,

Today I decided to play around with this simple black button down shirt from Woolworths and try to create some different looks based on what I’ve seen on Instagram.

Let’s get to it…

1. Backwards one shoulder look

This look is real simple to achieve ( honestly they both are ). Start off by putting on the shirt -backwards off course- and don’t forget to leave one shoulder out. Once you’ve adjusted the collar and it’s lying properly, button the shirt up ( a little help wouldn’t hurt ). Take the other sleeve and wrap it around your waist and pin with a safety pin ( you could use a pretty brooch )

2. Strapless, sweetheart neckline

Button the shirt up until you’ve achieved the sweetheart neckline and everything sits tight. Take the sleeves and tie them around your waist. & voila simple as that.

Styled with: striped jeans from Primark

Like I said these looks are simple and different. They make a statement and are easy to take a look from the office to cocktail ( or whatever 😉 ) I hope you guys found this post interesting. Keep up with me on my social media ( tagged in the sidebar ).

Apple Pie inspired Panini🍏

Hey guys!!!

I know I’ve been kind of MIA recently, I just got really busy with school and I apologise for not letting you guys know. Anyway I’M BAAACK and today I’ve decided to share one of my quick and easy snacks I make when I’m craving something sweet.
I actually got my inspiration for this snack from Pinterest {my Pinterest is tagged in the sidebar}, I’ve tweaked the recipe and I must say it’s really quick and easy to make and is super scrumptious as well… so let’s get right into it!!

Ingredients: ( makes 4 sandwiches )

Sugar {2 tbsps}

Cinnamon {1 tbsp}

Bread {8 slices}

Butter {4 tbsps}

Mascarpone or Cream cheese {1/2 cup}

1 Green apple ( or Granny Smith apple )
How to:

Slice your apple as thin as you can

Mix the cinnamon and sugar in a bowl

Coat your apple slices in the mixture

Spread the mascarpone on one side of your bread ( optional sprinkle some of the cinnamon sugar on the mascarpone )

Place your apple slices on the mascarpone

Spread butter on the outer side of your sandwich and place it into your panini maker.

Wait until your sandwich is gold brown and serve with vanilla ice cream 🙂

See you guys in my next post

Green Tea Exfoliator

Hey guys!!

I’m constantly in search of the perfect exfoliator, I could never find one that worked for me. One day while I was scrolling through Pinterest {my Pinterest is tagged in the sidebar} I came across this fabulous green tea exfoliator. I’ve only used it for about 2 months and I’m already in love with it, I’ve tweeked the recipe to make it my own, so here it is…

Ingredients

* 1 TB dried green tea leaves (2-4 tea bags, depending on size of tea bag)

* 1 cup white or brown sugar (the sugar should be soft, not large granules)

* 1/2 cup olive oil (100% olive oil, not an oil “blend”)

* 2 TB raw honey

* (optional) skin-friendly essential oil

Instructions

1. In a medium-size bowl, combine all the ingredients. Store the exfoliator in an air-tight container in a cool, dark place (the linen closet or medicine cabinet).

To Use: Apply a tablespoon of exfoliator at a time to your hands. Gently massage the skin (face and/or body) with the exfoliator for 30 seconds. Rinse the exfoliator from the skin with water and a washcloth.

This exfoliator works wonders, it’s definitely one of my best Pinterest finds. I hope that some of you try it and share your opinions about it with me, also feel free to share your favourite exfoliators with me xox Suraya
